Job Purpose The role of the Server is to provide the optimal guest experience and look after and set up assigned tables and manage food and beverage orders to guest tables according to set SOP’s and brand standard. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Serves customers with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner. Provides information to help food and beverage selections. Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner. Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. Prepares tables for customers according to set standards and SOP’s. Protects establishment and customers by adhering to sanitation, safety, and set standard policies and procedures. Helps customers select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions. Transmits orders to kitchen by recording customers’ choices and identifying customers’ special dietary needs and special requests. Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression. Serves orders by picking up and delivering customers’ choices from kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service counters. Responds to additional customer requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to customer spills or other special needs. Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting customers to return. Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to customers. Judgement, Integrity and professionalism. Minimum Experience At least 0 - 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment or any customer facing environment. Minimum Qualifications/education Certificate /Course/Diploma in Hospitality or relevant experience. Person In Charge (PIC)
