Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a strong background in the contracting industry to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in accounting, costing, and proficiency in using the Odoo ERP system. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Cost Analysis: Perform cost accounting activities, including job costing and project-based costing, to provide insights into project profitability and cost management.
• Odoo ERP Management: Utilize Odoo ERP system to manage financial transactions, track expenses, and maintain accurate records.
• General Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against these financial plans.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist in financial audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the finance and accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in the contracting or construction industry, with a deep understanding of its specific accounting requirements.
• Proficiency in using the Odoo ERP system or similar ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
