You will help our customers to bring business value from AI in a structured, repeatable, and scalable way. Every day, we support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of AI from preparing, building, and tuning models to deploying and monitoring machine learning services in production. As ML Sales Engineer you’ll be a trusted advisor who partners with our Field Sales Team to provide unparalleled support to our customers, ensuring they understand the full power of the DataRobot platform. Everything from demoing the platform to ensuring a successful hand-off to our Professional Services and Customer Success teams after the sale are all in a day’s work for you. About you: To be successful in this role, you’ll be a technical consultant who thrives in finding and solving our customer’s real-world problems and you are passionate about how AI can bring real value at scale. You’re a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who will work closely with our Sales Teams to strategize which accounts to target, generate compelling pipeline generation messages, and customize demonstrations that are relevant to those customers. This is a new team within DataRobot and as the team and the company grows there will be opportunities for individuals as well to grow into more specialized roles, leadership, or even other areas within DataRobot. The impact you’ll have includes: Your first meeting of the day could be a new business meeting where you will be driving the demonstration of the product, by telling a value-driven story that resonates well with this specific customer. Technical conversation with a Machine Learning Engineer or ML Ops person followed by a high-level discussion with a CIO that lets your passion for AI shine. Aligning our customers with the best solutions based on their unique environments and how we’ll support them. Drive successful proof of value(s) to realize the use cases to help the customer reach a technical decision. Articulate the value of DataRobot as it aligns to customer MLOps strategies and be the trusted partner for the customer in the sales engagement. Speak and demonstrate the value of DataRobot at various forums Provide consistent field feedback to product management to help improve DataRobot products. The experience you’ll need to succeed Bring your passion for AI/ML and presenting! Excellent communication skills. Experience in value based technical selling and objection handling. Background or experience with DevOps is beneficial. Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent demonstrable experience Every Sales Engineer at DataRobot has a specialized focus which may include any of the following: Proficiency in a field facing technical role using Python, Java, C#, R, and messaging components such as RabbitMQ, SQS, PubSub, Kafka. Expertise in the following areas: OS command lines including Unix, Linux, Window command prompts as well as Unix, Linux, Windows shell scripting. Knowledge of CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Gitlab, Travis CI, or Circle CI. Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
