Job Purpose and Impact The Lab Associate Health will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the feed safety quality and operational teams. Testing performed for routine analysis of in-process and final product testing, checking, and monitoring instrumentation performance. In this role, you will conduct testing as well as document results of tests into databases and communication test results verbally and in writing. Key Accountabilities Preform all Microbiology, serological, molecular, and postmortem tests. Release conforms animal health results. Practice quality assurance and quality control related to testing, including identifying nonconformities, potential nonconformities, and laboratory process improvements on a continuous basis. Ensure routine control and calibration of laboratory instruments/equipment. Performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments. Write new protocols/ standard operation procedure (SOP) in place and any other document required to comply with the quality system of the laboratory according to ISO 17025/GMP standards Maintain ISO17025, GLP and GMP documents/ and future regulations Use safe laboratory practices to protect self and others, checking proper functioning of stations, routinely attending safety meetings, and performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications B.Sc. degree in DVM, Microbiology, Genetics or related studies and experience. Proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and management ISO 17025 accreditations or standards. Minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Fluent in English language. Preferred Qualifications Master degree in poultry diseases. Three or more years of experience within a laboratory or feed manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry, food science, or related discipline Three or more years of experience within a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
