Senior Lighting Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Lighting Designer will work with multi-discipline teams across our multiple offices to deliver creative lighting solutions to clients, participating in the pursuit and project delivery for the full breadth of the firm's project markets. WHAT YOU WILL DO Development of lighting design concepts. Design of lighting and lighting control systems. Preparation of documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation. Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals. Assist in developing proposals and internal/external business development. Manage lighting tasks on projects of various scales/sizes. Regularly present on lighting topics internally and externally. Mentor Teammates in support of project work. Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks. Strong investigative, research, and problem-solving skills. Basic competency in building architecture and engineering systems. Work well under routine supervision. Actively seeks feedback for learning and improvement and implements change accordingly. Strong time management and follow through skills. Able to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills. Must be willing to perform periodic overtime work. ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or Master's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Theatrical Lighting Design, or closely related degree. Minimum of 4 years of related experience performing in a lighting design role. Strong knowledge of product design and specifications. Must have strong communication, teamwork and collaboration and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to engage effectively with teammates and clients. Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux Evo. Proficiency in graphic design and image editing software (Adobe Creative Suite). Proficient in MS 365 (Office, Word, Excel, PPT) required.
